Our Summer Gardens

Candacraig is surrounded by 18 acres of private grounds and is part of a larger 16,000 acre estate within the majestic Cairngorms National Park. These include a lochan, woodlands, formal gardens and manicured lawns. The highlight is our wonderful Victorian walled Garden with flowers and plants unique to Candacraig.

With one of the hottest summers to date, our magnificent grounds have hosted many outdoor picnics, evening barbeques on the Argentinian grill and long evenings by the firepit with a dram.

In the walled garden, our fruit trees are loaded with plums & apples and the berry bushes are plentiful. Our chef is getting excited about the autumn harvest and is thinking up new recipes to include this bounty.
